HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ARIZONA!

This year will be filled with activities around the state to
celebrate Arizona's 100th birthday. In Springerville-Eagar,
where I live, many activities are planned throughout the year.
 The renovation of the historic elementary school downtown
 was Springerville's Statehood Centennial project. If you're in
the area, be sure to stop by to see all the changes that
were made--and check out the new art gallery too!

I do what I do--take photographs and create photographic designs--because this is what I'm passionate about. It's what I look forward to in the morning and what I most often dream about at night.

Creating images of scenery, wildlife and interesting natural
features or man-made attractions is fun, often challenging,
but always rewarding when the image comes out as desired
or as I envisioned it. Sure, there are numerous rejects or
"deletes" that I don't share or post, but that's part of the joy 
and challenge of creating. Sometimes I just have to keep 
working till I get what I'm looking for, and even then,
there's always room for improvement. I recognize this
even when I tell myself "I really like this photograph!"

This season's Wallow Fire was devastating for sure,
but as these pictures taken after the fire show, not all was lost. There was still green on our mountain as well as wildlife.
